75 Members Donate in Major Blood Drive Effort

Mission43 provides opportunities for members to succeed in Idaho after the military.

A life of continued service is a common theme for many of our members as they find purpose after the military. Recently, over 75 of our members took time out of their day to give back, and address a serious problem facing our community and country.

Currently, our nation is facing the worst blood crisis in over a decade. Blood and platelet donations are critically needed so that vital medical treatments won’t be delayed. With a simple call to action of our members, Task Force Mission43 took on this impactful opportunity to give back by donating blood during this national shortage.

On April 1st, Mission43 hosted an on-site blood drive in coordination with the Red Cross of Idaho, and offered time to connect with other like-minded military veterans and spouses. Over 70 total pints of blood were donated to the American Red Cross thanks to our members! That means that almost 250 patients in desperate need of blood products will now be helped.

We are very proud of our members who so readily serve in times of need. Thank you to everyone who participated, and if you are interested in more opportunities to get involved with Mission43, please visit our Events page.
