Parenting & the Military
Parenting is challenging enough, but when you add the realities of military life, the dynamics can shift dramatically. Frequent relocations, solo parenting during deployments, and the reintegration phase after service can reshape family roles and routines. On top of that, service-related experiences such as trauma, TBI, PTSD, or heightened stress responses can influence how a parent shows up for their family.
This event is here to help you navigate it all. You’ll gain research-based tools and strategies grounded in developmental science, tailored to the unique experiences of military families. You’ll also learn how to better understand and respond to the changes that can come when a service member returns home - whether that’s adjusting to dual parenting again, handling overstimulation or quick tempers, or supporting a partner’s recovery journey.
