Military Spouse: HBOT & Other Support Resources

hyperbaric oxygen therapy: Understanding the Science, Accessing the Support

Learn what HBOT is, how it works, and how it can support your loved one’s recovery.

As a military spouse, you're often the first line of support for loved ones facing invisible wounds like TBI, PTSD, and substance use disorders. But who’s helping you navigate the maze of treatments and options available?

This workshop is designed to inform and empower you with knowledge about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), a promising, research-backed treatment that’s changing lives. Whether you're seeking clarity, resources, or connection, this is your opportunity to learn in a welcoming, judgment-free space.

Led by Dr. Troy Nickels, a Ph.D. psychologist with Summit Hyperbarics & Wellness, this engaging and accessible session will cover:

  • How HBOT works and why it’s effective for TBI, PTSD, and SUDs
  • What recent research and real-world results are showing
  • How to access HBOT and related supports through Summit and ORP
  • What supportive care options exist for both service members and families
  • How military spouses can feel more informed and less isolated in the healing journey

This is more than a presentation. It’s a space to gather as a community, ask questions, and walk away with meaningful, actionable insight.
