43INC with Kirstie Ennis

On February 21st, Mission43’s 43INC and Challenged Athletes Foundation-Idaho will present our next speaker-panel series with Kirstie Ennis: U.S. Marine Sergeant (retired), wounded warrior, athlete, humanitarian, and inspirational role-model.

When Kirstie’s helicopter crashed in Afghanistan, she underwent more than 40 surgeries and had to have her leg amputated; but the former Marine Sgt took that as an opportunity to write a new arc in her story and has since accomplished more at the age of 28 on one leg than she could’ve ever imagined. She has turned the concept of “disabled athlete” on its head, proving how capable she is, competing in Boardercross, banking Slalom as a paralympic snowboarder, and summiting Mt Kilimanjaro to support the non-profit The Waterboys. Her list of mountaineering accomplishments also includes climbing Carstenzs, the highest point in Oceania, for The Heroes Project and conquering Illiniza Norte, a 16,818-foot peak in Ecuador. She hopes to complete the Seven Summits by climbing the highest peak on every continent before 2022.

In addition to being an extreme challenged-athlete, Ennis has completed three master’s degrees (human behavior, business administration, and public administration) and is currently working to complete her doctorate in education. She has worked as a stuntwoman in Hollywood, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and businesswoman who launched a t-shirt apparel company (HeadCase), and recently earned her license as a real estate broker in Aspen, Colorado.

Kirstie is as fascinating as they come and we’re barely scratching the surface in describing her. We invite you to join Mission43’s 43INC and CAF-Idaho in experiencing her inspiration on February 21st at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa. Following Kirstie’s presentation, the Challenged Athletes Foundation will present grants to athletes in Idaho. Grants provided by CAF-Idaho provide access to sports equipment, coaching, and experiences to further an active lifestyle for athletes of all abilities---many of whom include wounded warriors.

Doors open at 5:30pm and we are expecting a capacity crowd, so register sooner than later!

See you there!
